YouTube

I have viewed many interesting videos on YouTube. Usually ones that are sent to me in email or my friend Alex is always searching on there and then showing us all what he found. Recently I have viewed videos that were made at my zoo (Staten Island) and I was surprised that people posted videos of themselves doing things that they are not supposed too (See http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=gKpDxV).

I knew that there were some interesting serval videos there because Alex showed them to me. I wanted to find one of them hunting a bird to post. While I did find quite a few videos of them in the wild (including the one linked below), I was surprised by the number of videos posted by people who have them as pets.

I already knew that depending on where you live, it is legal to have them as pets. But I was very surprised to see how many people do have them as pets.

The site is easy to search and sharing videos is easy even if you don't have an account. Libraries could use YouTube to post video clips of programs, upcoming events, or even short video book reviews.

  1. Yeah it is pretty strange to post videos of oneself doing things one isn't supposed to do!
